Tyndrum Whisky is surprising us today with a very hard to find bottle of Glengoyne which is supposedly a distillery exclusive. Don't ask us how they did it, but they did it and thanks to them you can buy a beautiful bottle of Glengoyne Teapot Dram Batch 007.

3993 bottles were filled at cask strength showing a nice 59.9% abv. The story behind the teapot serie is quite interesting. In the 1970s distilleries used to reward the workers with a daily dram generally from new -make spirit. But at the Glengoyne distillery the dram was generally coming from a sweet and young sherry cask. The teapot series is the idea behind this sweet sherry cask (but quite strong). The tasting notes from the shop are the following:

Colour - Rich copper
Nose - Swathes of red apples, Demerara sugar and chocolate-enrobed Turkish delight.
Palate - Mouth-coating, with tangy Seville marmalade, cinnamon, cloves and rich, dark cocoa.
Finish - An exceptionally long finish, with a burst of crystallised sugar sweetness at the end.

A must-have for the Glengoyne lovers who are looking for something different, don't miss the offer at Tyndrum whisky shop.
